7 Suspected Terrorists Arrested British Police


British police again arrested the suspected terrorists. Seven men arrested on suspicion of terrorism after police found guns and other weapons as a routine inspection of the vehicle.

The arrests took place in South Yorkshire in northern England as reported by News.com.au, Saturday (07/07/2012). The arrest was announced a day after London police arrested six other suspected terrorists.

British police insisted that the arrest of the 13 suspected terrorists were not associated with threats to the Olympics in London which will start in three weeks. But this anti-terrorism operations have raised concerns ahead of the Olympics.


British police state, is not yet known whether the newly arrested seven people who had something to do with the six suspects who had been arrested previously.

The seven men were arrested after a car was stopped on the M1 motorway in South Yorkshire for a routine check. When the investigation, police found several guns, weapons and other material in the vehicle. Police immediately arrested the driver and its passengers.

Police said six of the seven men aged 20-something years while another 40-year-old. Seventh was arrested on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts or designing. They are currently being interrogated. Their houses were searched by the police. Objects found in their vehicles currently tested in forensics.

Security in the UK is currently being upgraded to the Games. However, according to intelligence officials, so far there is no specific or credible threat to the implementation of the Olympics.
